About Brianna Reilly

Registered Clinical Counsellor
I have over 14 years of combined experience as a social worker and counsellor working in a variety of roles in the West Kootenay area. I have a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology (MACP) and I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). I am EMDR trained and certified. I also hold a Bachelors Degree in Social Work and I am registered with the BC College of Social Workers.

When I am not working, you will find me on our local trails hiking in the West Kootenays, spending time with my dog, or travelling. I enjoy outdoor adventures and exploring different places and cultures.
Approach to Therapy
I employ a trauma-informed, culturally sensitive, and person-centered approach, honoring where each client is at in their journey and working collaboratively to help them reach their goals. I believe in providing a comfortable, supportive, and safe environment focusing on the client’s unique experiences and strengths. Driven by a belief in the inherent capacity for self-growth within each individual, I am committed to guiding clients with empathy and respect. My goal is to support clients in finding clarity, resilience, and a deeper sense of fulfillment using a variety of modalities including:
Mindfulness, motivational interviewing, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, and EMDR.

I have an extensive background supporting individuals in crisis and trauma, family and relationship issues, stress management, life-stage adjustment, grief, depression, anxiety, and PTSD.
